Canal Street Malt House

1220 Bank Street, Baltimore Maryland 21202

The name Canal Street Malt House comes from the building’s original purpose; storing malt for the city’s brewing industry. The original 1866 building was converted into 13 industrial style lofts, with a newer addition housing the 25 remaining lofts. The industrial feel of the build continues into each loft with exposed concrete and eighteen to twenty foot ceilings and out into the elegant courtyard that joins the two buildings. Residents enjoy a short walk to both Little Italy and Harbor East.
